  1. 1 medium boiled beetroot
  2. 2 boiled potatoes
  3. 1 small onion finely chopped
  4. 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  5. 2 green chillies
  6. 1inch ginger paste
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  9. 1/2 tsp roasted cummin seeds powder
  10. 1 tsp aamchur powder
  11. 1 tsp chat masala
  12. to taste Salt
  13. 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  14. For maida slurry:
  15. 2 tbsp maida
  16. 2 tbsp corn flour
  17. to taste Salt
  18. 1/2 cup water
  19. as required Bread crumbs for coating
  20. sticks Ice cream
  21. as required Oil for frying
  22. as required Tomato sauce to serve

Steps to make to make Beetroot Lollipops

  1. In mixing bowl add peel & mashed boiled potatoes, peeled & pureed boiled beetroot, green chillies ginger paste,red chilli powder,garam masala, cummin seeds powder, aamchur powder, chat masala, salt and bread crumbs. Mix well and bind to soft dough.
  2. Make 6-8 equal portions from it. Place one portion on ice-cream stick,give oval shape of lollipop as shown. Prepare all similarly.
  3. In another mixing bowl add maida,corn flour and salt. Add water to make slurry. Coat each prepare beetroot lollipop with slurry as shown.
  4. Coat each with bread crumbs as shown. Prepared all similarly.
  5. Heat oil for frying. Take tea strainer on it place one prepare beetroot lollipop. Hold it with your left hand over hot oil pan. With right hand take laddleful of hot oil from frying pan and pour on beetroot lollipop.repeat this process...10-12 times,in between rotating beetroot lollipop..to make it crispy golden from all sides... taking care to pour hot oil only on beetroot lollipop,not on ice cream stick. This process is to avoid greasiness of ice cream stick. Similarly prepare all.
  6. Serve/ Relish Delicious Hot Crispy Beetroot Lollipops with tomato sauce.
